Twenty years before she would walk down the aisle at Westminster Abbey, the Duchess of Cambridge played a supporting role in her maternal uncle, Gary Goldsmith's own nuptials (his first of four).
The Sun released footage from Goldsmith's 1991 wedding, in which Catherine and her siblings, Pippa and James, were part of the bridal party.
The two sisters wore peach dresses and floral crowns, while four-year-old James wore a morning suit, complete with coattails and a top hat.
Gary, the groom, got himself in trouble in 2009 for bragging to an undercover "News of the World" reporter about hosting Prince William at his Ibiza home. Footage from the exposé reportedly showed Goldsmith cutting up cocaine and handing out ecstasy pills while he bragged about his ability to arrange hookers.
Dorothy Goldsmith, Gary and Carole's mom, was beaming from ear to ear on her son's big day in '91. Dorothy was nicknamed "Lady Dorothy" for her "grand" and elitist attitude, despite coming from a working class background. Dorothy passed away in 2006, five years before her granddaughter, Catherine, would marry Prince William.
"We all thought Dorothy was a bit of a snob," one relative told royal biographer Claudia Joseph. "She always wanted to better herself and the whole family used to call her Lady Dorothy."
