Today William and Kate put on their country casuals and headed for Cumbria, in the northwest part of England. There they met with volunteers, farmers and others who support the rural community. They also pet their fair share of dogs, which is a requisite for anyone living in the United Kingdom.
And another doggo:
Two little girls were chosen to present Kate with flowers, and for some reason HRH was mic'd up during their conversation (BLESS).
Kate complimented their plaits (Brit speak for "braids") and confessed that she tried -- and failed -- to braid daughter Charlotte's hair.
Listen to that angelic voice. It's so clipped, so upper-class, so fancy! We don't often get to hear Kate's voice this clearly, aside from speeches. Maybe we can have nice things, after all...
I We They forgive you, ma'am.
The girls' father told Kate that they love princesses (who doesn't?) and were hoping HRH would wear her "Princess Elsa dress" for the visit.
“I know. I’m sorry,” Kate said apologetically. “I came in my trousers and my coat because I’m going to see some sheep.”
Instead of her Elsa dress, Kate wore Troy London's "Tracker Jacket" ($365) over a Fjällräven Övik sweater, according to What Kate Wore. The attire was perfect for the activities that were on the day's agenda, which included a bit of a hike, sheep shearing and tasting local fare.
Shear that sheep, Kate!
