When Vice President-elect Kamala Harris was revealed as February's "Vogue" cover star on Sunday, the initial reactions weren't....great. Some accused the fashion bible of making Harris appear far too casual and "washed out" in a Donald Deal blazer and her trademark Converse sneakers. Others speculated that there was a disagreement between Harris's team and Vogue over two sets of shots (the aforementioned casual and a more formal one) and which would be selected as the cover. According to the New York Times, Vogue did not include anything in the contract that granted Harris's team cover approval, so the magazine had the final say.
