John Stamos, at 55 years old, is a lot of things: a father, a husband and, of course, the dreamboat I haven’t stopped drooling over since I watched Uncle Jesse run a comb through his hair in the ‘90s.
And I know I’m not the only one. Look at this guy! Aging like fine wine and can still sing like an angel? I’ll take a big serving of that any day. And he knows it.
And 2018 has been a big year for him. In February, he married Caitlin McHugh and in April, little Billy Stamos was born. Stamos recently sat down with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, the former of which gave Stamos a bit of parenting advice.
When Stamos choked up a bit after looking at a photo of his son (“I miss him. This is the longest I’ve been away from him!”), not only did I lose any kind of cool I thought I had and immediately teared up as well, but Ripa assured him that now that her kids are older (she has a 21-, 17- and 15-year-old with husband Mark Consuelos) she cries for different reasons.
To be fair, look at this baby.
I would cry, too.
Stamos also very bluntly asked Ripa how she’s kept her children alive, which is fair enough considering how young Billy is.
“You know what, they want to live, so they figure it out on their own, pretty much,” she responded. Then she likened first children to first pancakes off the griddle: “Burned on one side, raw on the other.” As a first child myself, I can say that’s pretty accurate.
Stamos also revealed that he and McHugh are actively trying for another baby (yay, more Stamos DNA in the world!) but that Billy is proving to be quite the “C-block.”
And thank goodness, because if nothing else, we need more Stamos in the world.
