You know the Kennedys -- I’d argue they’re the most well-known family in America (maybe second to the Kardashians, but we’ll ignore them for now). The Kennedy clan -- which is huge, by the way -- is made up of lots of politicians and philanthropists, but Jack Schlossberg, Caroline Kennedy’s son and the only grandson of the late President John F. Kennedy, has taken up acting instead.
Could the influence of Schlossberg’s distant cousin actor-turned-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger play a part here? I’m going to say yes for the sheer hilarity of that sentence.
Schlossberg, who evokes memories of his grandfather in that he goes by his nickname instead of his legal name John, appeared in the season 8 finale of “Blue Bloods” as Officer Jack Hammer, marking the 25-year-old’s acting debut. Schlossberg is currently a student at Harvard Law School and shares his New England roots with “Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg.
His appearance was brief, but this could be just the start for the young star. He told People in November that his passion isn’t necessarily in line with his grandfather’s, so maybe this acting thing will pan out if law doesn’t.
“We live in a really different time than he did, and I’m trying to figure out what I’m really interested in and what I want to do,” he said.
