When a 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit in the Italian town of Norcia, it was a miracle that no one was injured.
One four-legged resident, though, had been buried underneath rubble for a day before being found. According to Reuters, it wasn't until rescuers noticed a moving paw in the debris did they realize that the dog was alive.
Slowly but surely, the dog was dug out and appeared unharmed, despite being trapped since the Oct. 30 quake, Italy's strongest in decades.
After he was released, the lucky pup lapped up some water from a bowl provided by his rescuers.
