Apple releases tend to generate a lot of anticipation, even beyond the tech world. Whether you love Apple or hate the brand, you can't deny the fact that the company does a great job drumming up excitement. They do such a good job, in fact, that people scramble for leaked tidbits of information months before Apple is ready to even announce a new product.
Case in point: the iPhone 8. The phone is rumored to be coming out during the latter half of this year, but that hasn't stopped people from gossiping about what's in store for the popular smartphone. After all, 2017 does mark the iPhone's 10th anniversary.
Filipino artist Imran Taylor has collected all of the iPhone 8 rumors circulating out there and compiled them into one complete rendering of the upcoming phone. Keep in mind, these are all rumors and are in no way, shape or form confirmed by the company. But Apple fans are extremely dedicated and they do have a pretty solid track record of somehow figuring out what's coming ahead of the brand's big announcements.
First of all, this rumored iPhone 8 will be made of glass and stainless steel, nixing the aluminum casing Apple has gone with on recent designs. The screen will also be curved and feature a touch-sensitive home button that isn't a permanent fixture like it is on current iPhones. Oh, and the phone will utilize facial recognition somehow too. The future is now!
Now let's talk about the oh-so-important camera. In Taylor's imagining of the new smartphone, a dual-lens 3D camera will come on all models. Furthermore, the phone will be capable of taking augmented reality and parallax photos. If this is true, our Instagram posts are about to get so much better.
