It's a common 21st century problem: you're stuck in an iMessage group chat where everyone is talking (or rather typing) over one another, leaving you to think, "wow this would be a lot easier if we could all just talk face to face." Well, it looks like Apple might be about to fix one of our biggest qualms with group chat by introducing group FaceTime video chatting.
That's right. According to rumors all over the internet, the upcoming iOS 11 update is focused on the social aspect of the iPhone, namely iMessage and FaceTime. And the biggest rumor people are talking about is the five-way FaceTime update supposedly in the works. Like always, the group FaceTime feature would be available for iPhone, iPad and iMac users, meaning you can easily talk with your BFFs all at once -- in real time.
Although we can't stress enough that these are unsubstantiated rumors at this time, group FaceTime is a feature that iPhone users have been wondering about for a while now. And considering the plethora of iMessage updates that came with the last iOS update, it does seem like Apple is really focusing on changing the way people communicate on its devices.
So the next time Beyoncé uses your phone to FaceTime someone at a concert, make sure she FaceTimes the whole squad. That way, no one will feel left out.
