List1 of 4
1. The Basics
Meditation can be done at any time and anywhere. But, to start a routine, it’s best to do it at a consistent time such as right when you wake up or before you go to bed.
1. Sit or lay down in a comfortable position. Feel free to turn on some soothing music or lay quietly.
2. Turn off any distractions such as your phone, computer and TV.
3. Set a timer. When beginning, try five minutes and slowly increase as you get further into your practice.
4. Take deep breaths and notice how it feels as your lungs expand and contract. Your mind will wander. Instead of following these thoughts, acknowledge them, then refocus on your breathing.
