In the words of our lord and savior Shonda Rhimes, “You push through fear by doing.” While no one who hates spiders wants to think about holding a tarantula, and no one who dislikes heights wants to go skydiving, I think this logic applies to the more mundane activities of our day-to-day lives that we would consider ourselves scared of. Think public speaking, petting big dogs, horror movies -- things like that are pretty small in the grand scheme of things, but can paralyze us if given the chance. But who likes to admit that they’re afraid of something? Finding ways to overcome a small fear is probably the bravest choice you can make, so let’s talk about it.
