12 Sunscreen Habits You Should Be Adhering to for Maximum Sun-Blocking Effort

As we creep closer and closer to beach days and cookouts by the pool, you’re probably not thinking too hard about sun protection. There are other things to concern yourself with, after all, like how many days a week you can eat a hot dog without it being weird and how early you need to leave to get to the sand before the crowds show up. That being said, the general population’s sunscreen habits could definitely use some improvement. Even if you’re the type of person who doesn’t burn -- and you know who you are, you enviable sons of guns -- it doesn’t mean you’re not dealing with some kind of UV damage. Since UV exposure can cause things like fine lines and premature skin aging (no one wants that, do we?), it’s worth thinking about. Are you an unbothered sun bunny or a smart sunbather?
