Liverpool's Merseyside Mounted Police Section recently took part in the "Fruit Snack Challenge," in which parents test their kids' patience by leaving them with a bowl of their favorite snack for a few minutes. Celebs like Kylie Jenner and Gabrielle Union made the trend popular last month, so Merseyside decided to try it on their own police horse, Major.
Here's the thing about this challenge and animals -- animals, for the most part, are food-motivated. So, if you put carrots in front of a horse, the horse will just go ahead and gobble them up.
I don't think any less of Major after watching him spectacularly fail this test. Just have a look at his bio on Merseyside's site: "He is everything a police horse should be: big, brave, imposing and within a flash as sweet to anyone who visits or he meets out on patrol."
Enjoy your carrots, Major, challenge or no challenge.
P.S. -- His nickname is "Madge."
