It's obvious that Netflix's "Bridgerton" has captivated audiences, and of course it has; the perfect blend of society scandal, Regency-era politics and, well, line-pushing intimacy scenes hooked over 63 million households in its first month of streaming, the Featheringtons and Hastings of it all providing a salacious escape into 1813 Britain.
Yesterday, Netflix and Shondaland announced that season 2 would, indeed, be on the way -- Nicola Coughlan, aka Penelope Featherington, revealed that she's already been in costume fittings, so they are, in fact, making haste -- shortly, this time focusing on eldest Bridgerton, Anthony, where season 1 closely followed his sister Daphne.
Everyone is jumping on the "Bridgerton" bandwagon, and Hotels.com, for one, is using the show's popularity to its advantage. On Twitter yesterday, the travel-booking platform announced that it's running a "Bridgerton"-themed giveaway: If any real-life couples named Daphne and Simon get married -- and can prove it -- before season 2 arrives on Netflix, they'll be awarded a $15,000 prize to go toward their dream honeymoon.

...but alas, the true IRL duke and duchess will emerge soon enough and embark on their newlywed trip.
While Daphne and Simon merely hung out at the duke's country home, Clyvedale, for their honeymoon, we're thinking there must have been other options available to them. At any rate, there are definitely some specific destinations in the U.K. most worthy of a romantic getaway, and we've rounded them up so that, even if you're not a Daphne betrothed to a Simon, you can get loved-up with a high society honeymoon.
