The seniors at North Farmington High School in Michigan had some big shoes to fill. The class of 2018 went out with a bang when they posed for their student IDs dressed like big names from pop culture, including Cher Horowitz and Monica Geller.
Last year’s senior class president from North Farmington, Gabriela Sgambati, told the Detroit Free Press that about 95 percent of seniors participated in what was essentially a costume contest.
This year, the new seniors are following in their predecessors’ footsteps, going so far as to dress up like Netflix movie characters, internet memes and very specific character representations from our favorite television shows.
My favorite is Bob Ross, aka Lily Kollin.
Erin Sawyer, a senior at North Farmington this year who took her ID photo as Ms. Frizzle from “The Magic School Bus,” told POPSUGAR that the tradition is just growing bigger and bigger every year.
"The ID pictures are only on the IDs. The first class of seniors [that did it] took this as an opportunity to have some fun with their pictures. Now, I think some people wish the ID photos could be their yearbook photos!" she said.
You can find all the fun ID photos on Twitter using the hashtag #NFID19.
