This morning, NHL goaltender Henrik Lundqvist revealed on Twitter that he will be undergoing open-heart surgery as an update to an earlier announcement that he'll be missing the entirety of next season due to health complications. The 38-year-old Swede wrote, "The last 3 weeks my focus has shifted from training camp and the upcoming season to my health and what I can and can't do." Lundqvist, a five-time Vezina Trophy finalist, recently signed a one-year contract with the Washington Capitals after playing 15 seasons with the New York Rangers, leading them to the Stanley Cup Final in 2014.
