I'll never forget visiting the Warner Bros. Studio Tour outside London and being close to tears as I stood in the real Gryffindor common room and gazed into the actual Mirror of Erised. After growing up with the books and watching the movies countless times, J.K. Rowling's magical wizarding world is something that won't soon leave me. It's possible that the only thing I love more than "Harry Potter" is Christmas, but for argument's sake, let's say I adore them both equally.
Because of these obsessions loves, I was beyond excited to purchase one of Harry and Ron's iconic Christmas sweaters in the gift shop following my studio tour. H for Harry, H for Hillary -- it was meant to be, right? I'm sure you can also imagine my shock when I discovered that one of said sweaters was for sale for around $60. I mean, Molly Weasely is a damn good knitter, but was this thing made of gold?! I think not. I walked away with a Deathly Hallows keychain and a chocolate frog, sad but satisfied.
Well, I'm happy to say that today is a good day because after all these years, thanks to Primark, my HP Christmas dreams are finally coming true.
This Christmas, the clothing store is adding an entire line of "Harry Potter" merch, including menswear, womenswear, kids clothing, homeware and even party supplies. Best of all, they're selling both Harry and Ron's Christmas sweaters for around $18 each.
Sorry mum, but it looks like I'll be flaunting my best Hogwarts-approved swag for the family photo this year. Golden Snitch pajama pants to match? Don't mind if I do.
