Time is running out, but you still have time to sit on a sunny-side up egg and swing on a doughnut at the Hall of Breakfast.
The pop-up museum at The Gateway in Salt Lake City calls itself an “interactive pop-up art experience celebrating everything about breakfast, from the trivial to the transcendent.” Basically, a group of artists said what everything is thinking -- that breakfast is not only the most important meal of the day, but the best -- and created pieces for visitors to sit on, slide down and take the most Instagrammable photos with to honor the sweet and savory.
“We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we’ve never been more serious about breakfast,” the website reads. I for one am thankful for their dedication.
I think there’s someone else who’d be even more thankful, though -- Nick Offermans’ Ron Swanson of “Parks and Recreation."
See, Ron understood the importance of breakfast food and shared his wisdom when needed. He could actually be behind this whole thing. SLC isn’t too far from Pawnee, right?
Visitors can hop around the exhibits and take advantage of the plethora of selfie spots until the pop-up ends on July 7.
Not only will the place indulge your inner child who wants to touch every museum piece, it’ll make you super hungry. Luckily there’s a waffle joint right down the street.
