Has anyone seen Gwen Stefani's f*cks? It seems she has none.
At last night's Academy of Country Music Awards, Stefani and boyfriend, country music staple Blake Shelton, took the stage to perform their new song, "Happy Anywhere." It was intimate, sweet, romantic and obvious that they truly could have been singing to each other anywhere -- they're just so tuned in to each other.
Earlier in the night, Stefani took to Instagram to post a cheeky "throwback" photo of the couple before their "date night." The image is of a more punk-rock Stefani, crop top and bangs to boot, next to a younger, cowboy-er, mullet-rocking Shelton.
The photo's actually really fun, but longtime Stefani fans were quick to point out that the photo of herself she chose to edit Shelton into was actually once shared with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale. She posted it back in 2014 to celebrate her wedding anniversary -- just a year before she and Shelton got together.
You didn't even change the background, Gwen!!!
Safe to say that people went a little nutty about the photo, but what can I say? It's a power move if I've ever seen one.
This pairing has sparked drama from the start, anyway. The two essentially left their previous marriages for each other after working together on "The Voice," and even though their relationship is enviable of most nowadays, it was met with a little backlash to start.
And Shelton's ex-wife Miranda Lambert has been equally savage post-breakup. Last year, she took the stage with her hit "Little Red Wagon" during her own ACM performance -- with one important change. The lyrics from Lambert's original recording (which is already a cover of Audra Mae) go, "You only love me for my big sunglasses/And my Tony Lomas/I live in Oklahoma"; Lambert lived in Oklahoma with Shelton at the time. But she switched it up, instead singing, "I got the hell out of Oklahoma," as she had been every time she'd performed the song since her divorce.
These ladies are ruthless! And we love it!
