RIP, fallen soldier.
It's not uncommon to feel personally victimized when one of your best friends gets a new significant other. You get used to spending practically all of your time with your friends, and all of a sudden one of them is no longer around. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit hurt in the past when one of my girlfriends got a new friend stealer boyfriend and suddenly she was spending all of her time with him and not me. Well, these guys at St. Mary's University in Twickenham, UK felt the same way.
Ben Hull, a student at the university, shared two images to his Twitter account last week of a "funeral" he and his friends had for their friend Adam Milner. Milner recently got a new girlfriend, and his friends thought it appropriate to commemorate his life prior to the relationship with a proper send-off.
"We held a funeral for our friend taken by a relationship #wemissyouadam," Hull captioned the hilarious tweet.
"We all live on a floor together and spend a lot of time going out to nights out and all sorts," Hull told BuzzFeed News. "Then suddenly he got a girlfriend, and we saw him less and less."
You have to admit, the dedication these guys showed for the "funeral" is pretty impressive. They set up a table with pictures of him and some of his favorite things, including video games, cigarettes and a hat.
Hull even made a eulogy dedicated to their "fallen friend" and the group decided they would have drinks on Friday in Milner's honor.
Apparently Milner's girlfriend found out about the unconventional get-together and thought it was hilarious. So, he's got that going for him.
