Yes, the holidays are all about joy and good cheer, happiness and helping others, excitement and wonder and merriment. But you can't have rainbows without a little rain, amirite? Meaning that along with all the glee and making the yuletide gay, there's a lot of stress, in-fighting and moments when you just want to throw a fruitcake at the window and call it a day.
Let's face it, a lot of organization, spending and people-pleasing goes into making the holiday season run smoothly. You make lists upon lists, try your hardest to budget appropriately and get all your traditions done in time, but the season goes by way too fast, and there are bound to be some unhappy souls around the dinner table at the end of the day.
Somehow, the holidays still manage to be a festive and heartwarming time -- even among the turmoil -- and nothing displays that juxtaposition better than this baby.
Currently a favorite of the internet (helped along by the soundtrack to this video), Wynn Everett Roth-Lifson is a 4-month-old who's just abouthad it with his friends and family this holiday season. The tyke is barely old enough to make facial expressions in general, but he pulled out the most relatable one at his first ever ugly Christmas sweater party (where he was, appropriately, sporting a mini Grinch sweater).
According to his uncle Jesse Lifson, little Wynn had been passed around the party, wanting to be held by every adult in the room, and subsequently made this face to communicate his utter done-ness with the situation.
Nevertheless, Lifson assures us that his nephew ultimately enjoyed himself.
"He had a great time at the party. He was there for six hours," he told TIME. "He ate twice, took a nice long nap and soaked in the scene. He loves a crowd, so he's always fixated on what's happening around him and all the attention he gets."
We couldn't help but think of all the holiday happenings that would elicit such an expression from a cynical adult this time of year.
