I think it's safe to say that Google has established itself as one of the most desired companies to work for in America. After all, they landed the number eight spot on Business Insider's "50 Best Places to Work in 2016, according to employees" list. Between free healthy meals, laundry and fitness facilities, it's no wonder. Heck, I'd love to work there, and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that.
In fact, an ambitious seven-year-old girl recently wrote a letter to Google requesting a job there when she's older. She certainly knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. I wish I had been thinking that far ahead when I was seven.
"Dear google boss," wrote Chloe Bridgewater, from Hereford England, "when I am bigger I would like a job with google." After finding that Google offices include bean bags, go karts and slides, Chloe knew she had to work there, and I mean, who wouldn't want to?
To make this story even better Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai, not only received Chloe's letter, but took the time to respond to her with encouraging words.
Pichai's letter reads,
"Thank you so much for your letter. I'm glad that you like computers and robots, and hope that you will continue to learn about technology. I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to - from working at Google to swimming at the Olympics. I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school! :) All the best to you and your family."
I can only imagine how busy Sundar Pichai is, but the fact that he took the time to respond to Chloe just goes to show that you're never too busy to encourage the next generation. They are our future after all.
