FOX’s fall lineup is sparse this year thanks to the addition of Thursday Night Football. “Brooklyn Nine-Nine," once on the brink of death, is moving to NBC. FOX has instead picked up “Last Man Standing” after a year off the air at ABC. A bunch of new shows have been announced, some favorites are returning and some cuts were made to the team that you wouldn’t expect. See the status of your favorites and learn about what’s coming soon!
"Last Man Standing"
After a whole season off the air, FOX has picked up the canceled ABC sitcom with Tim Allen, where he stars as Mike Baxter, a man trying to “maintain his manliness in a world increasingly dominated by women.” Okaaaaaaay?
"The Cool Kids"
Martin Mull, David Allen Grier and Vicki Lawrence star as a group of rule-breaking seniors in a retirement
community. Charlie Day (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) will exec produce
the sitcom.
"REL"
After his wife leaves him
for his barber, Rel (Lil Rel Howery) must not only cope with the breakup of his
marriage but also find someone new to cut his hair. This sitcom is based on the
life of Howery and co-stars Sinbad.
"The Passage"
A global pandemic looms but
one child may hold the key to stopping it. Based on the Justin Cronin trilogy
of books, this series stars Mark Paul Gosselaar (“Saved by the Bell”) as the federal
agent who decides to protect the girl at any cost.
"Proven Innocent"
A young woman who went to prison
after being wrongly convicted of murder is now a lawyer hell-bent on clearing
the names of the innocent.
"Rent"
FOX brings back this '90s
musical about apartment squatting, heroin and HIV. Basically, it’s going to be
a good time.
"Cosmos"
Neil deGrasse Tyson returns
for another installment of the show that explains our place in the universe
with major production value. The Seth MacFarlane-produced documentary will be a
midseason replacement.
