I've always been a decent runner. I never minded "the mile" in high school nor the two-mile warm ups I used to do for soccer. I've done plenty of 5Ks, a handful of 10Ks and one half marathon. I promised myself I'd run a marathon by the end of 2019, and I just recently signed up for a half marathon at the beginning of March. Oh, and just a little caveat, I haven't run long distances since 2017. Needless to say, my jump back into training has been quite shocking, but here goes nothing...
