1. Was all of Hollywood quarantining together?
Kimmel started the show the usual way, giving a rapid-fire
joke-filled monologue to a rowdy audience. It was confusing to see so many celebs,
all sitting together, until you realized it was old footage and a bit. The shot
of Kimmel clapping for himself gave it away. Soon, Kimmel revealed the empty
audience and a zoom wall of nominees behind him. We then knew this would be an
Emmys like we’ve never seen before.
