It was revealed pretty early on in season 2 that queen bee Lucrecia and her half-brother Valerio were engaging in a forbidden romance (i.e. an incestuous physical and emotional relationship). Their shared father learned of the relationship, though, and Valerio ends things based on Lu's behavior.
The underlying threat of the season was Samuel's disappearance -- but it was faked. Samuel, ever suspicious of Carla and Polo after Christian's "accident," was able to convince Guzmán of the same. Together, they hatched a plan that involved Samuel seducing Carla, prompting her confession once he "disappeared."
Polo, who you'll remember from season 1 as Marina's murderer (accidentally, but still), tumbled into a deep depression because of his secret, but Carla was also hiding the truth for him. Samuel's faked death succeeded in eliciting a confession from Carla, but not before she gave Polo a heads up.
Cayetana, the fake socialite, bonded with Polo throughout the season, so much so that she knew where the murder weapon was. As a result, when Polo was arrested, he didn't confess, and Cayetana stashed the trophy. No weapon, no case, so Polo returned to school virtually unscathed.
These two have been flirting since day one, and Nadia had been breaking out of her family-sanctioned shell more and more. It came to a head when she and Guzmán found themselves alone in a locker room and went all the way. Well, at least they thought they were alone -- Valerio kind of filmed it in order to convince Lu to be with him instead of Guzmán.
Ander, having known that Polo was behind Marina's death, didn't share the knowledge with Guzmán for...one reason or another. Obviously, Guzmán found out, and now they are decidedly not friends. Can't say I blame him!
