Does "Lady Marmalade" Need an Ed Sheeran Cover?

"Lady Marmalade" is one of those songs that keeps on giving. When Patti LaBelle and her music group first recorded the tune, it was sensational. Then the soundtrack from 2001's "Moulin Rouge!" did it one better by reprising the song with a girl gang ensemble of Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and P!nk. The latest artist looking to get their hands on it, though? Ed Sheeran. While I'd trust Sheeran to name my children (the man is that good with words), he wanted to collab on it with Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber as part of his upcoming "No. 6 Collaborations Project." Though it never came to fruition, I'm not so sure if the resulting pop-heavy cover would have been a good idea. A lot of Twitter didn't, either.
