While the rest of us are planning our costumes and stocking up on Halloween candy, Dolly Parton is decking the halls. The Smoky Mountain Songbird released her third holiday album today, aptly titled "A Holly Dolly Christmas."
The track list includes classics like "All I Want for Christmas Is You," "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and "Holly Jolly Christmas," but also includes some originals, like "Christmas Is" and "You Are My Christmas." Even more exciting than the tracks, though, are Parton's featured artists: her goddaughter Miley Cyrus (plus father Billy Ray) and brother Randy Parton appear, as well as Christmas album king Michael Bublé, Willie Nelson and even -- *checks notes* -- Jimmy Fallon. Huh!
Notice her sweater in the Facebook square. That tricky Dolly.
The line also includes PJ pants, a campfire mug and crewneck sweatshirt, all ready for Christmas morning.
BTW, this release comes after Netflix released a first look of Parton's latest film for the streamer, "Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square," out Nov. 22. Starring Christine Baranski as a wealthy, Scrooge-y woman who tries to evict people from her hometown in order to sell land to a developer, it's a musical that features 14 new, original Parton songs that, obviously, ends in happy, heartwarming holiday cheer for all. Parton may or may not play an angel in the film.
And (yes, there's another "and"!) Parton released a whole collection at Williams Sonoma full of festivity. Christmas cookie mix and cutters, festive oven mitts and aprons, a pre-built gingerbread house made to look like a log cabin in the winter mountains. I mean, how could you not want to break out the holiday tunes and Christmas lights with all of this?
Dolly Parton has spoken, everyone: Christmas is here. Mariah isn't even ready just yet! Everyone stream "A Holly Dolly Christmas" and get into the holiday spirit.
