Dog Owners Are (Kind of) Found to Be Happier Than Cat Owners...Do You Buy It?

The debate between dog and cat people is a never-ending one. Lots of people even begin first dates by asking if someone is a dog or cat person -- it's that divisive. But are dog lovers better off than cat lovers, or vice versa? What if you don't have a preference? In a new survey, 36 percent of dog owners said they were generally happy, while only 18 percent of cat owners did  -- but that's only part of the story. It's not necessarily the dog or cat that makes a person report that they're happy or not, for example, but still insightful.
