1. Falcon vs. Hawk
Wing shape is the first indication of whether you’re looking at a falcon or a hawk. Falcon wings are longer and slimmer with a pointy top, contrary to the wider and more rounded wings of the hawk. When a falcon takes flight, they only glide for a short period of time before flapping their wings again for another boost. Hawks flap their wings slower, but can spend more time gliding in the air due to the wider shape of their wings. The shape of the head is also different between the two animals: Falcons have shorter and rounder heads compared to the hawk's sleek and pointed head, according to Bird Eden.
