Raising more than one kid is like coaching a team -- you win some games, you lose some games. Sometimes they'll eat their dinner, sometimes they won't. It all depends on how many snacks they've eaten and how cooperative they are.
Instagram account Dumb Dad Podcast perfectly summed this up in a mock press conference. Imagine the dad as a coach whose team lost against their opponent because they lacked structure and "got behind early after the milk spill and the marker on the wall." When you're that disorganized from the start, things are bound to unravel throughout the rest of the day.
Coach never found his keys, which you could tell was a personal low for someone who just wanted to lead his team to success before bedtime.
There were attitude problems and too many snacks that led to a major distraction (for which Coach took full responsibility), but overall he did his best. Sounding defeated and exhausted, with ibuprofen and TUMS next to his mic, it was clear that Coach was skipping the post-game locker room talk and going straight to bed, only to do this all over again tomorrow.
