Because all the other networks are doing it too, CW’s fall 2018 schedule will be heavy on reboots. They’ve already got “Dynasty” and their newly announced shows also include two more reboots, both with a much more diverse cast than the original versions.
CW has one less hour of prime time to program than the other networks so their list of new, returning and canceled shows is much smaller than the big four networks, and all of the show are skewed to younger teen and young adult audiences. This fall, they are sticking to Greg Berlanti’s super hero shows (“Arrow,” “Flash,” “Supergirl”) and soapy high school drama (“Riverdale”). “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “iZombie” and “Jane the Virgin” will premiere their final seasons as well. Have your favorites been renewed? Did “Life Itself” even get half a chance before it was canceled? What do you think of this lineup?
