September's Netflix Listings Are the Opposite of Background Noise

Netflix seems to be taking advantage of the kids being out of the house and back at school just as much as you: Their new additions mean business. Films like Christian Bale's "American Psycho" and the Jodi Picoult adaptation "My Sister's Keeper" aren't necessarily easy-going flicks, and the first season of "Surviving R. Kelly," which delves into the sexual assault allegations against the rapper, also drops this month. Plus, the Disney purge is beginning, as Disney+ readies to pull it all for their own library -- "Pocahontas" and "Mulan" are being ditched. Don't forget about Ryan Murphy, though: Catch up on "AHS" before "1984" premieres and be sure to check out the satirical "The Politician," the first of a slew of new Murphy-led programs coming to Netflix.
