You know when you didn't even realize you were missing something until it was right in front of you? I give you: Chrissy Teigen on TikTok.
It seems almost impossible that our Twitter crusader and Instagram over-sharer hasn't been on the viral video-sharing app yet, but it's true -- the only "Chrissy" that's been on the app so far has been a fake fan page.
Teigen started out with a few videos of her "learning process," testing out sounds, playing around with the "I'm So Pretty" trend (even though she didn't perform it in full, she was very proud of herself) and asking if she can still make content the way she does on other platforms, or if there are rules.
Along with Teigen's entrance into the land of Gen Z and the Renegade, her culinary brand, Cravings, has also debuted on the app. A short-lived marketing stunt, perhaps? Her profile picture is a Cravings-esque chicken wing illustration. Even so, we're all in.
The content over on Cravings TikTok, whose first video dates back only to November, is all about trendy cooking videos, and they seem to have the app down a little more than their founder.
Though we're hoping the TikTok endeavor isn't short-lived (we'll take Chrissy content in any form on any day), I could see it being used solely to promote Cravings, which just went through a huge revamp to include a site redesign, a beautiful test kitchen office and the addition of merch like bakeware and robes.
But if Teigen is truly joining TikTok in earnest, just think of all the amazing content we're about to get. I'm picturing Chrissy and John Legend lip-syncing to viral videos, Miles and Luna learning some dances with their mom and some pristine Pepper Thai cameos.
This could be the start of something beautiful.
