Jamie Lee Curtis has been in Hollywood since 1978; from the "Halloween" franchise to "Freaky Friday," She’s hit most every film genre you can think of, and the 62-year-old seems to have plenty of spunk left in her to keep making movies until the end of time. She’s been around the block a few times, met a lot of people, you know?
That being said, it’s very obvious who her favorite young buck actor is. And it’s not her godson, Jake Gyllenhaal. Nope, Curtis has the softest spot for America’s boyfriend, Chris Evans. Just as we all pine over the "Captain America" and "Defending Jacob" star, so, too, does Jamie Lee Curtis.
We assume her obsession began in earnest when she and Evans starred in Rian Johnson’s masterpiece film, "Knives Out," together -- Curtis played a frigid mother figure to Evans’ cable-knit-wearing bad boy, Ransom.
After the film’s release, while everyone was freaking out over said cable-knit sweater, Evans shared photos of his rescue dog, Dodger, wearing a similar knit, which Curtis promptly, and proudly, recreated with her pup, Runi.
The obsession was most notable, though, when Evans made that social media blunder back in September. Curtis talked about it with Kelly Clarkson on the singer’s talk show, musing about whether or not it was planned and calling him "so smart and such an unbelievably beautiful human being."
"Unbelievably beautiful," she says after admitting that she was literally sweating thinking about it, not to mention that when the nudie incident initially occurred, Curtis addressed it straightaway and not very subtly on Twitter:
She’s thirsty!
But Curtis’ infatuation lives on, as Evans is in the news yet again, this time for a quote-unquote rumor that he’ll appear as Captain America in yet another Marvel production or two. The character was expected to be retired after "Avengers: Endgame," at least with Evans in the role, when Cap passed on his vibranium shield to Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie); plus, Evans had been quite clear that he was ready to hang up the supersuit. But yesterday, Deadline reported that Evans was in talks to strike another deal with the studio. Marvel had no comment on the story, which makes us think it’s true, but Evans hopped on Twitter to strike it down.
Regardless of whether or not Evans is just bluffing his way to a surprise MCU return, it opened the door for Curtis to flirt comment once more. She responded to Evans’ denial asking if she can act alongside him forever, which he affably accepted.
Is it weird that Curtis is simultaneously lusting after and parenting Chris Evans? Sure, but that’s showbiz, baby, and we can’t get enough.
