The thing I’m most excited about when it comes to living alone is getting myself a cute little feline friend. I can’t remember ever not having a cat around the house until I went to college and eventually moved into an apartment -- my roommates have yet to concede on the cat thing. Apparently litter boxes are a dealbreaker for non-cat people.
But once I do live on my own, as soon as I bring Fluffy home from the shelter, I plan on giving that cat the home it deserves. I’m talking shelves, I’m talking empty boxes everywhere, I’m talking cat-nip trips every day. But of course, I’d have to start with a nice hideaway house, because cats are, at their core, antisocial beings.
However, I will spare my companion those stacked, felt-covered “cat trees” -- those are sure to funk up anyone's space, especially if you’ve got a small apartment (hi). Something multifunctional and aesthetically pleasing would not only be good for your cat, but also your social life.
These houses are where it’s at -- get your cat one of these mansions and who knows, maybe they’ll be so thankful hat they'll learn how to cuddle one day.
