Upon opening up my social media this morning, the first thing I was exposed to was this video of a brother-sister duo around bedtime. The video looks like it comes from a baby monitor planted above the little girl's crib, and the owners of it did us a favor and annotated their children's words for easy listening.
Levi and his younger sister share a room, and it sounds like she's more comfortable sharing a bed with her big bro than being confined to her crib. In the clip, we hear her barter with Levi for permission to sleep with him, and once he (kinda) agrees, she requests that he pull a step stool over to the crib so she can safely climb down.
Levi goes one step further for his sister and hops back into the crib to retrieve a baby doll she left behind, with her closely supervising to ensure her brother's safety.
Listen, I'm a millennial who isn't trying to bear children any time soon, and even I am squealing with delight at these two little escape artists.
It's not even the crib breakout that has me suddenly wishing I had my own little humans to hang out with! It's the wheeling and dealing the two chat through and Levi's willingness to let his sister spend the night with him, even after exclaiming, "Again lay in bed!?" These two are BFFs.
Maybe bunk beds are in these siblings' future?
