Are there some days when your simmering anger with the world makes you want to break stuff? Maybe you want to throw a plate,
smash a vase, sledgehammer a laptop without repercussions or having to clean
the mess up? Rage Ground has got your back with their safe, yet destructive, new
adult playground.
The Los Angeles facility will get you suited in gear so that
you don’t poke an eye out. Your ticket gets you coveralls, a face mask, gloves
and a protective vest. You're then given tools of destruction (think bats and pipes) so you can
smash assorted things to your heart’s content.
Four people can be in a room at a time and the scenarios are
endless. If you’ve just finished taking your finals in school and need a stress
reliever with your friends, you can destroy a printer. Bring your siblings to
decompress from the holidays and pummel a TV. Do you and your significant other
need a break or to just break a few bottles to get your relationship on track? It's
Girls’ Night -- let’s shatter a few dozen wine glasses then grab a drink after
in honor of our exes!
A package at Rage Ground includes a
block of time for up to eight people and several items to bust together (be they small, medium and/or large). Bigger extras like computers can be purchased for a fee, based on
availability. Tractor tires are included in all date night packages because nothing
says I’m into you like bouncing bats off rubber. If you’d rather take the fury
offsite, like to the office picnic, Rage Ground offers rage tents with a stack of
plates to bust. No gear needed.
Anger rooms are growing in popularity across the country for
those that would rather rally than take a time out. Atlanta, Dallas and dozens
of other cities now offer rage rooms as a safe place to have a freak out. Is it
healthy though? Experts agree it can be fun in small doses when it’s a novelty,
but not a suitable replacement for actual self care and mental health support. Raging can actually make you more angry in the long term so it’s
not so much a solution to your problems as it is a fun distraction.
So while we don't suggest you drop your yoga classes just yet, it might be fun
to just go nuts and "Hulk Out" once in your life.
