Every time Meghan Markle and Beyoncé hug, someone gets a free trip to Disney World. Probably.
The Sussexes and the Carters formally met at tonight's European premiere of "The Lion King." After introductions were made, the couples talked about their kids. Rebecca English, the Daily Mail's royal correspondent, was able to listen in:
I'm not the best lip reader, but methinks Beyoncé said "My Princess" when she and Meghan hugged. 'Twas reminiscent of Bey and J's BRIT Awards acceptance speech, in which a regal portrait of Meghan hung in the background.
This isn't the first time the Carters have met royalty. Back in December 2014, they were introduced to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at a Brooklyn Nets game.
The live-action/CGI-ish remake of the 1994 Disney classic is the year's most anticipated movie. It doesn't hurt that the cast is chock full of amazing talent, including John Oliver, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Donald Glover and Keegan-Michael Key.
