We couldn’t contain our excitement when Ben & Jerry’s released their cookie dough chunks. And, of course, Dō in New York City opened to incredible success a few years ago (I know, because I stood in line for an hour and a half for a scoop myself). Obviously there are sketics and studies and concern over how “edible” these edible cookie doughs are, but this is a safe space so let’s all be honest with each other: You lick your mixing bowl clean every time you bake anything, so the damage is being done. At least give the professionals some credit for capitalizing on this so very yummy human truth.
That being said, Ben & Jerry’s and Dō aren’t the only options out there. While I can’t taste test all of these myself (but if any of these brands feel like sending some, no part of me will complain!), I can at least tell you what’s out there and where to find it. So, don your aprons and let’s get doughy.
