It's official: Ben Platt is the luckiest guy in the world.
The "Dear Evan Hansen" star, also known for his role as Benji in "Pitch Perfect," is a pretty serious Beyoncé superfan. I mean...join the club, right? I frequently listen to all of her music on repeat and when I saw her live for the first time I cried the entire time. The difference between myself and Platt, though, is that as much as I would love it if Bey wanted to hang out with me for a night, chances are that will never happen.
In August, the 23-year-old Broadway star tweeted about how badly he wished he could conjure Bey to a performance of his show, "Dear Evan Hansen."
"I really think a part of me believes that if I warm up to @Beyonce enough times before @DearEvanHansen, I will conjure her," he wrote.
Well, apparently magic is real because not only did the queen attend last night's performance, but she also paid Platt a visit in his dressing room.
"It happened," Platt tweeted after the show. HOW DID YOU DO THIS?!
Apparently the entire cast also got a photo, which is just the cherry on top of their already perfect night.
I am extremely happy for them and not at all jealous. I swear. If I drink lemonade and say her name three times, will Beyoncé appear for me too? Will report back.
