Everyone knows that the best part about baking cookies is eating the raw dough before it goes into the oven. Similarly, everyone knows that the best part about cookie dough ice cream is digging out the sugary chunks. What if we told you that your favorite doughy pieces from Ben & Jerry's ice cream could now be enjoyed without all that cold stuff getting in the way? Good news: it can be.
Ben & Jerry's new cookie dough chunks are the sweet treat we've been waiting our whole lives for, so when Dailybreak had the chance to try the delectable new product, we couldn't say no. The "snackable dough" comes in two flavors -- chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip -- in resealable, 8-oz. packages. This is a no muss, no fuss product. It is, at its core, a little brown paper bag with bite-sized pieces of cookie dough inside. Oh, and it should come as no surprise that both flavors are absolutely delicious.
Though I'm more of an original chocolate chip girl myself, the PB lovers in the office couldn't stop raving about the chocolate chip peanut butter chunks. So, it's safe to say that either option would be a win here. Both flavors are made with pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour, so it's perfectly safe to eat raw to your heart's content.
Unfortunately, the doughy goodness is currently only available at Vermont's flagship Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop and in the UK. But rest assured, if demand continues like we assume it will, these will (hopefully) be coming to everyone's freezer section very soon.
