Artist Aria McManus has been coming up with eccentric, fake inventions for years, but one -- the towelkini -- has actually come to fruition. Catching the attention of plenty of media outlets, including the Today Show, the towelkini is basically a bathing suit cover-up that's meant to go from the sand to the surf in a snap. McManus told The Daily Beast that since the fourth grade, she's kept an Invention Book with ideas for “twists on functional objects as art products,” and her Instagram page is full of 'em.
