I don't know where I was all last week, but zoos across the country were spoofing the Academy Awards like real Oscars were on the line. Dubbed the Aquademy Awards on Twitter, zoos from San Diego to Houston were participating in handing out the "awards" to their own marine and aquatic animals, and the competition was fierce.
From "Best Squawkumentary" to "Best Shoreography," birds, otters and even hippos went up against each other in categories that really should have been broadcast alongside ABC's Oscars coverage on Sunday night.
Some categories paid homage to Oscar winners and nominees, and the puns were just perfect.
There was even a host, complete with a fitted tux that rivaled Bradley Cooper's.
Congrats to all the winners! Now where's the after party at?
