If you thought Annie Murphy's only foray into the music industry was "A Little Bit Alexis," think again.
Of course, the actress is most well known for her "Schitt's Creek" character, Alexis Rose's, iconic single. You know, the theme song to her limited series reality TV show.
Murphy wrote the song (can we even call it a "song"?) herself, and it's become synonymous with the actress as some of her finest work. But that was before she unleashed Anny Morphee.
Murphy posted a video on her official Instagram account of her singing (and "playing" guitar along to) "Baby, It's Cold Outside." Except it's not her -- it's Anny Morphee, Murphy's "main betch." Anny, a singer-songwriter who clearly gets lots of cover requests from fans, actually thinks Zooey Deschanel wrote that song (she didn't), assumedly because she performs in it the movie "Elf," and continues to perform in Deschanel's recognizable register.
Anny isn't just a one-hit wonder though -- she has a full range of renditions on her own Instagram page, Anny's Hit Bedroom. She gives Gwen Stefani some advice re: "Just a Girl" and feminism, replicates Sia's staccato vocals (and face-hiding hair) and pays tribute to David Bowie, aka "Rockman." Oy.
Though this is obviously all done in jest (at least, we think), we have to give Murphy -- er, Morphee -- props. There are probably some legitimate vocals hiding under there! Her impressions are pretty on point, after all, though her guitar could use some a lot of help.
