One man basically just won the whole "giving back" part of the holiday season. Not that it's a competition; every little bit counts when you're donating, but this guy seriously took it to the next level.
John Roa has been volunteering at the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago for almost 10 years, where he has fostered animals and volunteered at shelters. But this year, Roa decided to up the ante and pledge $15,000 to cover all of the adoption fees for every animal adopted at a Chicago-area Anti-Cruelty shelter this weekend.
Is that not enough for you though? No worries, because Roa has also promised to help those in need get food and supplies for their new furry friends. This man makes Santa look like Scrooge!
But Roa isn't doing this for the fame and attention. All he wants to do is raise awareness about animal adoption and help every single animal at Chicago's North LaSalle animal shelter find a forever home for the holidays.
Can someone please call Lifetime up? Because this story would make the best, most heart-wrenchingly beautiful holiday movie ever.
