When social distancing measures forced theaters to shut down across the country beginning in March, it was bad enough -- then they began feuding with Universal Studios. Now, things seem to be looking up for the world's largest theater chain: As COVID-19 case numbers dip in certain areas of the U.S., reopening plans are in motion, with 450 of its 600+ locations poised to open on July 15. The company has waited to resume business even after select markets gave theaters the green light in mid-May, taking more time to prepare.
