You can quote me: Some of the best skin care products can be found on Amazon. From face masks to daily cleansers and moisturizers, they know what their people want. And what do the people want more than anything? Affordable skin care. Yesterday, Amazon went ahead and gave us that by introducing their new line, Belei.
The completely in-house line includes 12 products from creams, sunscreens, face wipes and serums that all come with a price tag under $40. Every skin care guru will find their buzzwords among the ingredients (charcoal, micellar water, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, retinol, the works). It’s all free of harsh chemicals, never tested on animals and the packaging is even made of recycled materials. They’ve certainly catered to their crowd.
It’s the serums, though, that Amazon has really invested their time and research in. Every one features a certain vitamin that’s meant to enhance your skin in a way you might not be catering to in your current skin care routine. The entire line is already sitting in my Prime cart, so see if any of the serums entice you as well.
Dark Spot Solution Serum
Niacinamide, a form of vitamin b3, is front and center in this dark spot-eliminating oil. It evens skin tone and doubly brightens while hydrating at the same time. Since our bodies don’t produce it on their own, applying it topically adds skin benefits you didn’t even know you were missing. By restoring cells and combating sun damage, the result is brighter, restored skin.
Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Vitamin C = anti-aging. Hyaluronic acid = hydration. This serum is like a two-for-one deal that will aid in any acne scarring or other discoloration you might have on your face. Thanks to the vitamin C, which is known to boost collagen and be anti inflammatory, you can expect an added brightness and even tone to your skin after use.
Ferulic Acid and Vitamins C & E Serum
This serum is fragrance- and paraben-free, so it shouldn’t irritate your skin. As far as its laundry list of vitamins and acids, they’re all in there to increase antioxidant production and help shield your skin from any negative environmental effects. Ferulic acid fights factors that lead to aging skin, but make sure you’re not allergic first -- the acid is found in the seeds of certain fruits, nuts and grains. Vitamin E, meanwhile, is naturally existent in our bodies, but a little extra can’t hurt, especially with its collagen-boosting, sun damage-repairing properties.
Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Basically all you need to know about hyaluronic acid is that it retains moisture, keeping your face supple and hydrated. On top of that, this serum can even out your skin tone and work against the appearance of wrinkles. It's a blend of five hyaluronic acids, so you're really getting the bang for your ($38) buck.
