The "Gilmore Girls" takeover continues on! If you aren't a fan of the show and seeing it everywhere is getting on your last nerves, sorry about that. But for all of us fans, the show's resurgence in popularity following its revival on Netflix is too perfect not to totally freak out over. Leading lady Alexis Bledel joined Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" last night to talk about all things "Gilmore Girls," and the conversation naturally turned to their favorite characters.
Fallon, who admitted that he had only just finished season four of the original series, revealed a rather basic list of favorite characters (sorry Fallon!) that consisted of Luke, Kirk and Paris. But Bledel, being the "Gilmore Girls" expert that she is, had a much more in-depth list.
First, there's Caesar, Luke's chef at the diner. "I think he kind of runs the place," Bledel explained. "Like, if [Luke] has to go be with Lorelai, he's like, 'I got it.' He's underrated; he's amazing."
Up next are Babette and Miss Patty, the two middle-aged town gossips with hearts of gold. "They were on "All in the Family" together," Bledel said of Sally Struthers and Liz Torres, the two actresses who play the Stars Hollow women. "Every time they would come to set, they would get together and sing show tunes. It was such a raucous day on set. So I have to appreciate them."
Her final favorite? Kirk, the eccentric young man in Stars Hollow who's ranking as a favorite needs no explanation. "Kirk is unbelievable," Fallon says.
