Adults no longer need to be jealous of all the little
princesses filing out of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Walt Disney World. Select Disney salons are now making adult princess dreams
come true with the new Character Couture makeovers.
Previously, kids at Disney parks could get a 30-minute to one-hour makeover with everything from hairstyles to makeup to a full princess
wardrobe. Makeup application would include face gems and glitter, and the “fairy godmothers" could transform you into anyone from Snow White to Moana. The service was only available to ages 12 and under, though, so teens and adults were out of luck.
Now, four salons in the Walt Disney World Resort will be
granting grown-up wishes. Ship Shape Salon at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, Ivy Trellis at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, La Vida Salon at Disney’s Coronado
Springs Resort and Salon by the Springs at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge have all
started offering Disney character-inspired makeovers.
Princesses -- nay, queens -- have their choice of hairstyle and makeup application
or hairstyle, makeup and nails, starting at $80 and going up to $120 for the full package.
Costumes are BYO, but since adult costumes are usually not
allowed in the park, themed street clothes are a better bet.
This is perfect for a special dinner at Be Our Guest, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (where adult costumes are allowed), the Princess
Promenade at the Grand Floridian Hotel or a new Instagram trend called Disney Bounding, where you rock the park wearing clothes inspired by your favorite
character.
If you had your choice, which Disney character would you be?
