No one asked for this, but here we are: As if 2020 couldn't get any weirder, yesterday KFC and Lifetime released their mini-movie, “A Recipe for Seduction”. Mario Lopez plays a young Colonel Sanders (you’ll never look at the bespectacled character the same, I promise), an attractive chef with big dreams in the employ of an heiress (Justene Alpert) who’s being pressured to marry her wealthy boyfriend. Her mom is a little too on board with the upcoming nuptials because they're in debt.
Does this premise sound absolutely bonkers for a fast food chain movie? Yes. Did the internet love it? Kinda. Twitter has spoken, and the general reaction is that it’s so bad, it’s good.
Obviously, there are haters.
But it sounds like most viewers enjoyed the 15-minute mini-movie in all of its fried glory:
How can you not love it when there are lines like this:
Bold move, KFC. Anyone else have a craving for fried chicken?
